My guitar tuition covers a mixture of styles, such as Contemporary Acoustic guitar, Classical, Electric Guitar styles such as rock, blues and metal, and I also teach Ukulele. These styles can be taught with grades or I can tailor the lessons to your specific needs.

I have been teaching guitar privately and in schools for over 15 years. During this time I have developed various teaching techniques to help inspire and encourage my students to become great guitarists and have had a 100% pass rate on all graded exams.

Testimonials

“Mark teaches me electric guitar. I like my lessons with Mark because he is fun and plays guitar brilliantly.” Matthew Oldmeadow (Aged 9)

“Mark teaches my son Matthew Electric guitar and he certainly knows how to get the best from Matthew. By using a range of popular songs from various genres and making the lessons fun, Mark manages to captivate Matthew for the whole session and his playing is coming on in leaps and bounds. Mark is a fantastic teacher and role model and I would be happy to recommend him to any budding guitarists.” Trudi Oldmeadow

“Thank you for the help and encouragement you have given me during the last year. It has been very useful in helping me progress from my small world of country and folk into the exciting world of rock and blues with my new electric guitar. Passing the electric guitar grade 3 RGT exam with a merit was the icing on my musical cake.” Paul Shepard

“I enjoy the relaxed style of lesson and the flexibility I have with the pieces I learn. Over the last year I have learned a lot of challenging fingerstyle pieces which involve various techniques such as harmonics and tapping. I have also learnt rock and classical pieces and developed my technical understanding with scales.”  Max Ravenscroft
