Mark first started playing guitar at the age of 13 while growing up on coast of Lincolnshire, England.  Several years later he realised that it was more than just a hobby and decided to study music full time at ACM (Guildford) where he discovered the late Eric Roche who later inspired him to specialise in solo acoustic guitar.  Mark then went onto study a Bmus (hons) Degree in music performance at the The Institute (London) and graduated in 2005.

In 2007 Mark started starting writing and producing music using layered guitar parts, electronic drums and samples with strong influences from Trip Hop and Electronica.  After a few years of writing and producing, Mark rediscovered his love for Finger Style guitar and spent several years experimenting with techniques and learning pieces by artists such as Eric Mongrain, Michael Hedges, Andy McKee and Antoine Dufour.  Since then, Mark has been working as a freelance musician and guitar teacher, which has led onto performances on BBC world news, BBC Persia, Sky News and several other radio and TV shows throughout Europe and America.

Here’s a clip of Mark performing one of his original compositions in the Gibson studios.
